Parkway Dental Center is excited to announce we resumed our regular practice operations as of May 11th!

Parkway Dental Center • Aug 07, 2020

At Parkway Dental Center, we have acquired enough PPE to open our office to all patients in a very safe way. Our doctors are working to help patients, especially those who had dental procedures cancelled during the stay-at-home order. Our hygiene team is also working diligently to provide their services in maintaining quality dental cleaning care.

As you know, our patients' and team's health and safety have always been and will continue to be our highest standard! We have been paying close attention to the evolving CDC guidelines and will ensure that our practice is safe for all those we are honored to serve. During this time we feel that it is very important to keep our patients updated and supported every step of the way.

We are committed to supporting each and every one of you as we return to full services beyond emergency care. Your dental health is important and impacts your overall health. Our team has worked diligently to make sure that all social distancing requirements are in place, so that every patient can come back to care with confidence.

Here are some of the various precautions we have in place to keep our patients safe and secure during all of their dental procedures:

Advanced staff training
Each member of our team has completed an additional awareness and prevention training to enhance their knowledge and preparedness.

Daily health checks of our team
No contact temperature checks and a quick set of questions will ensure our team is ready, willing, and able to provide safe dental care, every day.

Lengthened scheduling
We are not seeing as many patients and allocating more time between visits for coming and going, as well as deep-cleaning each operatory after procedures.

Pre-screening of every patient
A quick health questionnaire and consent form along with a no-touch temperature check will be completed when you arrive at our office. We have also asked that patients wear a mask and sanitize their hands upon arrival at one of our sanitizing stations.

Social distancing in place
There are fewer chairs in our reception area, spaced at least 6 feet apart. For your safety, we have also removed our magazines, toys, and coffee maker, as they are high-touch items.

Surgically clean air
We have HEPA filters in each operatory and in the reception areas of our practice to help clean the air. We also are using advanced chairside suctioning whenever possible to minimize aerosol contamination and improve air quality.

Cleaning after every appointment
After each use of an operatory, we let the aerosols dissipate and HEPA filters continue to clean the air for 15 minutes. We then thoroughly wipe, sanitize, and disinfect all instruments, equipment, and surfaces in each operatory after each patient.

PPE for our team
Our dentists, hygienists, and assistants will be wearing both N95 and ASTM Level 3 masks underneath a face shield at all times for your protection and theirs, during your dental procedures. They will also be wearing extra hair coverings and gowns for further protection. Our front desk staff be wearing masks during this time as well; don't worry, they still have a welcoming smile behind them!

We hope to see you soon!
